Description

The library of Istituto Italiano di Cultura
in Vancouver has a catalogue of over
4,200 titles, the vast majority of which is
in Italian. The books are divided in over
10 categories, among which a section
for language and linguistics and an
extensive section of reference books.
There also several magazines and
weekly newspapers (see "Newspapers and Magazines").

Access and Consultation

The library and multi-media library are open to the public for consultation. However, only members of the IIC may take material out on loan. (See membership.) Books and videos are available for loan to members. Italian newspapers and magazines can only be consulted on site.

The library and multi-media library are open Monday through Friday, from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4:30pm (4pm on Fridays).


Loan and Services

Members are welcome to borrow books or videos. There is a one-month time limit for the return of books, and a two-week limit for videos.

In the event that a borrowed item is lost or damaged, the member will be required to cover the cost of replacement.
